Fishing Calendar

The below fishing calendar is a general representation of an average year in southwest Florida. Seasons and weather patterns dramatically effect fishing patterns. For instance, If the area has an early winter the snook fishing may slow down early since this species is very intolerant to cold water. But it may also mean that migratory fish such as pompano mackerel etc. will arrive early. The calendar also does not dictate closed seasons for certain species that are still available for catch and release fishing.
